Windproof hood ø200
Stainless steel 316L wind cap for the IE single-wall flue system, from Ø60 to Ø400, keeping the draught stable and stopping smoke from blowing back in wind.
The wind cap, also called an anti-wind cap or wind-resistant cowl, goes on the chimney outlet or on the last stainless steel pipe. It is meant for a chimney in an open or windy spot. The cap keeps the draught in the flue stable and stops smoke or combustion gases from blowing back, even with an unfavourable wind direction or in gusts. It also keeps rain, birds and dirt out of the flue. You use it on flues of condensing boilers, pellet stoves, wood stoves and open fireplaces, in new builds and renovations.
Choose the diameter of the pipe the cap goes on: Ø60, Ø80, Ø100, Ø110, Ø125, Ø130, Ø150, Ø160, Ø180, Ø200, Ø220, Ø250, Ø300, Ø350 or Ø400. The item code follows the size, from IEWK060 to IEWK400.
What do I combine the wind cap with? With a shaft cover plate or a storm collar. The passage under the cap is then watertight as well.
When do I choose the wind cap? When the chimney stands in an open, exposed spot where the wind blows freely and smoke sometimes blows back.
Where does the cap go? At the top of the vertical flue, on the chimney outlet or on the last single-wall stainless steel pipe.
