Self-adhesive stove tape repair kit 8 to 20 mm
With this repair kit you renew the seal between the stove glass and the door. The kit contains 2.5 m of self-adhesive glass fibre tape, black, heat resistant up to 500 °C, with instructions, in a blister pack or hanging bag. Sizes 10x3, 10x4, 12x4, 18x3 and 20x3.5 mm, plus a stabilised 8x2 mm tape for narrow rebates. Renewing the glass seal
Let the stove cool down, take the glass out of the door and remove the old tape and glue residue. Stick the new tape all around the glass or in the rebate, without stretching it. Refit the glass, place short pieces of tape under the clamps and tighten them evenly, not too hard. Check with a strip of paper that the glass seals all round.
