SootBlocker sheet, SnapLok props and stove magnets

SnapLok SootBlocker dust sheet with an opening for the vacuum hose, 90 x 150 cm or 150 x 180 cm, that closes off the fireplace when sweeping from below. Soot and dust stay out of the home. The sheet has a removable vinyl window, a sweep snout for the rods and a large 6"/150 mm snout for the vacuum hose. The SnapLok adjustable props SLP100 and SLP160 hold the sheet in place, and the SLMS3 magnet strips press it against metal stoves and surrounds.

The sheet goes in front of the fireplace opening. The rods pass through the sweep snout and the vacuum hose through the 6" snout at the bottom left. Both snouts close with hook-and-loop straps, and the window shows what is coming down the flue.

In large openings and inglenooks, the telescopic props hold the sheet with no tape or screwdrivers in the lintel. You slide out the inner tube and lock it, then tighten the prop with a turn of the foam grip. The feet sit on a ball joint, tilt up to 45° and have rubber pads. Each prop holds up to 60 kg and is weatherproof. On a stove, cast iron fireplace or register plate, the magnet strips hold the sheet against the metal, even where tape comes away under the weight of a full bag of soot.

Which SootBlocker suits which fireplace? The small SBFPCS (90 x 150 cm) for standard openings, the large SBFPCL (150 x 180 cm) for wide openings and inglenooks.

Do the magnet strips work on every fireplace? No, only on metal: steel or cast iron stoves, surrounds and register plates. On stone or timber, the props or tape hold the sheet in place.
