Rotary chimney sweeping kit for drill, 17 mm, 6 x 1 m
Rotary chimney sweeping kit for a drill: 6 flexible 17 mm rods of 1 m and a 450 mm nylon brush, to sweep 6 m of flue. The rod turns and the head knocks soot and tar off the flue wall. A drill adapter and a padded bag come with this DIZ Tools kit. Supplied to order, about 1 week.
For round and square flues in stainless, ceramic and masonry. The flexible rods pass bends up to 45°. With 17 mm you have more choice: the black rod DZ102 for 90° bends and the heads DZ122 to DZ124. To sweep further, add single rods DZ101.
Can I sweep a chimney with a drill? Yes. The adapter goes on the drill or cordless drill. Never set it to hammer mode.
From below or from the top? Both. From below you go through the stove or the soot door, with the protective tube DZ193.
Does this replace the chimney sweep? No. Sweeping it yourself does not give you a sweep certificate. Check your policy for what your insurer asks.
