Static cowl with cover 7B – 20 x 40 cm
Static cowl with cover type 7B in concrete for a 20 x 40 cm flue in the middle of a row of flues, external size 42 x 50 cm, with two short straight sides. Both short sides are vertical. The cowl therefore meets the cowls on the neighbouring flues on both sides, in a row of three or more flues. The two long sides are chamfered and deflect rain and wind.
At the top a closed cover fully shields the flue outlet from rain. Below it, 3 or 4 profiled rings keep the draught stable in any wind direction.
Each flue gets its own cowl. The rings are dry-stacked and staggered on a clean, flat chimney top, so that the cover sits level.

Which size do I measure for type 7B? The internal size of the flue, here 20 x 40 cm. The cowl itself measures 42 x 50 cm externally.
What goes on the flues at the end of the row? They only have a neighbour on one side, so they take a version with one short straight side.
Why a cover rather than an open crown? The cover fully shields the flue outlet from rain. For an open crown with bird mesh and deflector, see the Superior static cowl.
