Flexible chimney rod for drill, 12 mm, 1 m
Chimney rod for a drill, 12 mm, 1 m long, to extend the kit DZ200 or to sweep a flue with tight bends. You click the rods together and add one for each extra metre you want to sweep. On the drill: about 500 rpm with a nylon head, 800 to 1000 rpm with a chain head, both directions are allowed, never on hammer setting. Supplied to order, about 1 week.
There are 3 versions. DZ201 is the flexible rod from the kit, for normal bends. DZ202 is red and very flexible, for tight bends. DZ203 is stiff and bends little, for blocked flues and hard deposits. Black and aluminium exist only in 17 mm. You use the drill adapter DZ240 and a head DZ210 to DZ222.
What should I watch with the drill? Use a variable-speed drill with an adjustable torque limiter. Never use it on hammer setting. Start slowly and stop at once if the head gets stuck. Slow down in fragile or older chimneys. Both directions are allowed, but preferably clean in one chosen direction. These speeds are recommended values and so not the mechanical maximum.
Which rod for a pellet stove? The red DZ202, for the tight bends in a pellet stove flue. The pellet brush DZ222 goes at the front.
How many rods do I add? The kit has 6. For a chimney of 9 m you add 3.
