Rain cover ø150
Stainless steel 316L rain cap for the IE single-wall flue system, from Ø60 to Ø400, keeping rain, snow and leaves out of the pipe at the top of the chimney.
The rain cap, also called a chimney cap or rain hat, goes on top of the last flue pipe. It keeps moisture and dirt out of the flue, which helps the boiler or fireplace work properly. You fit it on a stainless steel pipe, in new builds and renovations. The cap is used on single-wall and twin-wall stainless steel flues, in homes and commercial buildings.
Choose the diameter of the pipe the cap goes on: Ø60, Ø80, Ø100, Ø110, Ø125, Ø130, Ø150, Ø160, Ø180, Ø200, Ø250, Ø300, Ø350 or Ø400. The item code follows the size, from IEMS060 to IEMS400.
Rain cap, draught cap or wind cap? The IE series has three caps. The rain cap mainly stops rain, snow and leaves. The draught cap is there to improve the draught and prevent backdraught. The wind cap is meant for a chimney in an open, windy spot.
Can I fit the rain cap on an existing pipe? Yes, if the diameter matches. It is mounted on top of the stainless steel pipe.
Which appliances is it for? For flues of condensing boilers, wood stoves, pellet stoves and open fireplaces.
