Anti-drip wall terminal black PP Ø60 and Ø80, PZ series
Anti-drip terminal with grille in black PP for a horizontal flue Ø60 or Ø80 through the outside wall: no condensate dripping down the facade. The slanted end keeps the condensate inside the flue: it runs back to the appliance instead of dripping over the edge. The facade and the ground below stay clean, and in winter no icicles form under the terminal.
Application. The last piece of a horizontal PPS flue Ø60 or Ø80 of a condensing gas or oil appliance, at a place where a wall terminal is permitted. Fits the black, UV-resistant PZ series.
Construction. Black polypropylene (PP), UV-resistant. A grille all round against birds, insects and leaves. The smooth spigot end slides into the socket of the last pipe; the seal in that socket makes the joint tight. For flue gases up to 120 °C, not for wood, pellets or other solid fuels.
Which code to order? PZHOI60 for a Ø60 flue, PZHOI80 for Ø80. You order per piece.
| Ø | Code | Material | Design |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ø60 | PZHOI60 | Black PP, UV-resistant | slanted end, grille all round |
| Ø80 | PZHOI80 | Black PP, UV-resistant | slanted end, grille all round |
Installation in brief. Lay the horizontal flue with a fall towards the appliance (about 3°, or 5 cm per metre), so the condensate runs back to the boiler siphon. Let the socket of the last pipe protrude just outside the wall, push the anti-drip terminal fully into it and finish the wall penetration with a rosette. Keep the grille clear and check it at the annual service.
Why does an ordinary wall terminal drip? A condensing boiler emits water vapour that condenses in the last metre of the flue. With a straight-cut terminal that water runs over the edge and drips down the wall: streaks on the facade and ice on the ground in winter. The slanted end of this terminal sends the water back into the pipe.
Does the anti-drip terminal work without a fall? No. The condensate must be able to run back to the appliance. Always lay the flue with a fall towards the boiler, which drains it through its siphon.
What is the grille for? It keeps birds, insects and leaves out of the flue, so the passage stays clear. Do not remove it and clear it at the service.
Do I have a white PPS flue? Then order the same terminal in the PW series: PWHOI60 or PWHOI80.
Ventichim supplies the anti-drip wall terminal together with the complete PZ series to installers throughout Belgium.
